Use the address:
33850 McCumber Road Rutland, Ohio 45775 (In my experience GPS takes you over some bad back roads when you get off the highway close to Reclaim, but it works.)
IF YOU DON"T HAVE GPS, or just want to do it yourself for some reason, this is what I recommend.
(There is a briefer version of these directions in the Google map linked below, along with other good stuff if that is more to your liking.)
FROM THE WEST
you will probably want to get on Rt 32 going East to come toward Athens. Rt 32 becomes Rt 32/50 about ten miles west of Athens and shortly after that you hit the exit for Albany, Rt 681. You'll see a small (Ohio U) airport on your right just before you hit this exit, which is well marked. Take the Rt 681 exit. It loops around past a little restaurant and you come to a big sign that says 681. Take a left at the sign to go South.
(Then follow the obsessive/compulsive directions below.)
FROM THE NORTH OR EAST
you will probably want to come into Athens on Rt 33 (from the North) or Rt 50 (from the East). Then get on Rt 32/50 going West through Athens - it is four-lane and bypasses the city if you are doing it right. Be alert and follow the signs for Rt 32/50 West and you shouldn't have any problem. Go West on Rt 32/50 about 9 miles from Athens and you will see the Albany Rt 681 exit. You will go through a traffic light (the only one on that stretch of 32/50) shortly before you hit this exit, so start watching when you go under the light, but do not turn there. The exit is well marked, but it comes up quick while the road is curving right, so be alert. Take the Rt 681 exit and at the bottom there is a big sign that says 681. Go right at the sign to go South under the four-lane.
(Then follow the obsessive/compulsive directions below.)
FROM THE SOUTH
you probably want to get to Rutland, Ohio on Rt 124. Then take New Lima Rd (County Highway 3) North 2.5 miles until you hit the junction with Loop Road. (New Lima Road should be easy to find - Rutland is a small town.) (Once you get to Loop Road, follow the obsessive/compulsive directions below STARTING WITH 5, to get to Reclaim.)
I don't want to seem TOO obsessive/compulsive about these directions, but it IS easy to get lost back in there and I'm hoping everyone has a good experience.
The directions that follow are summarized briefly on the Google map linked at the bottom and above. Just use that if you don't need all this....
OBSESSIVE/COMPULSIVE DIRECTIONS
OK, once you get on Rt 681 at the sign, punch your trip odometer to set it to zero. (Odometers vary so your milages may be a little different than those below.)
Then comes the fun part....
1. Go 5.3 miles on Rt 681 and you should hit Rt 692. It is well marked and you just go straight onto 692 and Rt 681 will veer off to the left.
2. Go 1 mile on Rt 692 (to 6.3 on your odometer), which should take you through the very small town of Pageville. After you get through Pageville, you will see a sign for Rt 684. Go left to get on 684. It is well marked.
3. Go 3.0 miles on Rt 684 (to 9.3 on your odometer) to the slightly larger town of Harrisonville. In Harrisonville, Rt 684 becomes New Lima Road when it crosses Rt 143. Just keep going straight across 143 and you are on New Lima Road.
4. Stay on New Lima Road for 3.2 miles (to 12.5 on your odometer) until you hit kind of a T where New Lima goes left and Loop Road goes right.
Go right on Loop Road.
5. Go .5 mile (to 13.0 on your odometer) on Loop Road till you come to a fork in the road where Loop Road goes off slightly to the right and McCumber Hill Road goes left. Get on McCumber Hill. You will see a red barn and a house on your right at this intersection. Also there is a small old home-made merry-go-round for exercising horses in the Y of the intersection. Keep the merry-go-round on your right.
6. Go 1.6 mile (to 14.6 on your odometer) on McCumber Hill and you should see the Reclaim entrance on your right. It is VERY easy to miss if our sign isn't up, but of course we should be on top of that.... You follow the gravel road, which goes up a good way, and WELCOME HOME!
